It takes a lot these days to get our attention with a crowdfunding campaign.
A lot.
We get pitched at least one a day and few ever make the cut for an actual story. Then again, we’ve never been pitched one before where the top contribution amount comes with a little PG-rated nudity.
That’s right, for a $25,000 donation to support the LGBT feature film, Shining Moon, key cast from the movie will fly from Chile to your home and bare their backsides for you and your friends.
It’s all to raise money for a socially powerful, provocative and hilarious film about two middle-aged actors in a gay relationship that’s become dull—until a handsome young (straight) filmmaker casts them in a movie based on the lives of two poor, outcast, elderly drag queens in Chile.
Of course, you can get mooned by the cast for a lesser contribution ($7,000 gets you a video butt baring). And donations as little as five bucks can help them reach their goal, too.
You’ll just have to moon yourself in a mirror at that level.
