Dining options abound at L’Auberge, but Ember Grille & Wine Bar wowed us from start to finish. We eat at a lot of steakhouses in Dallas–Fort Worth and our meal here ranks easily in the top five steakhouse experiences of our life so far, thanks to talented chef Brock Granger. Highlights included the pan-seared scallops with seaweed salad, leeks and beurre noisette port wine reduction, as well as the 42-once Ember Prime Tomahawk, carved tableside. Fortunately, we had friends to share with or we would’ve devoured that whole slab of beef all by ourselves.
At least we were able to drag ourselves back to our room and those awesome damn pillows for the most comfortable food coma we’ve had in months.
