BuzzFood

Yasssss, queen (bee).

We have some news that might give you hives. The good kind, of course.

Austin-based Round Rock Honey now has beesness in Dallas/Fort Worth and you’re going to want to find out what all the buzz is about.

But all the pollenating puns aside, Round Rock Honey might just make you rethink all things sweet and sticky. Their raw, heirloom-quality honey, soap, lip balm and body scrubs can now be found locally at Frisco Fresh Market (or online for those of us for whom Frisco feels as far a drive as Austin).

They sent us a care package of bee-made goodies and we have become obsessed with their raw, never-heated Bourbon Barrel Honey. They also have orange-cinnamon and other varieties, all of which are good on everything from fried chicken to the pool guy.

Better still, if you really want a unique experience, sign up for their local beekeeping class in Rowlett for the ins and outs of beekeeping and the vital importance of these yellow-and-black flying insects.

Because when it comes to keeping the world functioning, we owe it all to bees.

Sorry, WASPs.
