Travel Tuesday: A Trinity River Runs Through It

It feels like Pride Month has been going on for seven years, not three weeks.

But that only means we’ve had so many events to celebrate LGBTQ Pride that June can barely contain them all.

How lucky we are, too, to live in a region where we have so many options for embracing who we are as individuals, and as a community.

This heat right now makes us not want to do anything outside our air-conditioned bubble, let alone get in the car for an extended road trip. But a short, 45-minute road trip to Fort Worth? That’s our kind of short-term travel goal this week.

Make a weekend of it (or at least an overnight adventure) by booking one of our favorite hotels and making it your home base for Trinity Pride Fest 2023.

This Fort Worth Pride celebration takes place from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Magnolia Green. It features an artisan market, a gag-worthy gaggle of drag performers, food and drink vendors, live music—and a wonderful sense of community that can only be found during Pride.

So wash that rainbow outfit again, flat-iron your Pride flags and head to Cowtown for one of the last major Pride celebrations in North Texas this month.

Remember, the smaller communities need our support now more than ever.

Now sashay away—to Fort Worth!
