Dylan Mulvaney to Headline 43rd Annual Black Tie Dinner

Hot off the heels of revealing the creation of the “Beyond The Tie” fund—and revealing its first deserving recipient—they’ve dropped another big announcement: Dylan Mulvaney, the social media sensation, trans activist and all-around trailblazer, will be honored and featured as a speaker at this year’s event. Cue the applause!

For those not yet familiar with Dylan (where have you been?), she skyrocketed to fame with her viral “365 Days of Girlhood” series, documenting her transition in an incredibly candid, joyful and inspiring way. With nearly a billion (yes, with a B) views and a few major accolades under her belt—including Forbes 30 under 30, Out100 and Attitude Magazine’s Woman of the Year—Dylan has become a beacon of light for the LGBTQ+ community, especially for those navigating their trans journey.

This year’s Black Tie Dinner theme, Simulation, promises to blur the lines between reality and dream, but one thing’s for sure: honoring someone like Dylan is the real deal. Her energy and advocacy come at a time when visibility and representation are more critical than ever. The event will also feature inspiring voices from the Human Rights Campaign, Kelley Robinson and Brandon Wolf, along with a performance from the indie pop duo Fly By Midnight. So, in other words, this year’s gala is going to be lit.

Of course, He Said Dallas is extra proud to be a longtime sponsor of Black Tie Dinner. Supporting this event is one of the ways we show our love for our LGBTQ+ family here in North Texas—and we know this year will be one for the books.
