Interracial Emojis Are Here!

usa-10_12_16Pretty soon, we won’t need written words at all.

Emojis will be the new language.

And now, thanks to an app launched in promotion of the new film Loving, we can tell our own tiny illustrated story of interracial love.usa-10_12_162The film (out November 4) chronicles the life together of Richard and Mildred Loving, who fifty years ago faced horrendous amounts of prejudice and hatred for their interracial romance in a time where that was still very much taboo.

In celebration of their inspirational story, the LOVE-MOJI app features a vast variety of interracial couples, both straight and LGBT. Now those of us in relationships with people of a different color can express ourselves better than ever in text messages, e-mails, tweets and Facebook updates.

Here’s hoping updates to the app take the concept even further.

Because we could definitely use an Asian sugardaddy businessman /Latino twink chef combo for some friends of ours.
