Being neighborly comes in many different forms.
It could be lending a cup of sugar to the people next door – so they can make their famous marijuana brownies.
Or bringing in the mail for the lesbians across the street – so you can retrieve the credit cards you signed up for in their names.
Or perhaps a gesture as simple as borrowing a leaf blower – so you can more quickly clean up the mess of your all-night sex circus.
But it’s time to be neighborly on a global level. Well, a continental level to be more accurate. So make a run for the other border and spend a week in super-gay Toronto.
After traveling all over the world and staying in some of the most cosmopolitan cities on the planet, we were thrilled to discover the greatness of Toronto, home to the friendliest people on the planet. Even the male strippers say please and thank you before you slip a loonie in their coin slots.
Simply put, Toronto is a smaller, cleaner New York City. It has the same international flair, world-class dining and spectacular cultural opportunities, but the added perks of hearing “aboot” a few times a day and the chance to appreciate the simple exoticness of a u in words like colour, favourite, and Voudka Tounic.
Summer is a fantastic time to visit, especially during their over-the-top Pride celebration, one of the greatest in the known universe.
And when you’re ready to go, we’ve made it easy to find great food, amazing hotels, worthwhile sightseeing, and Toronto’s Big Gay Scene.
It just might be the vacation of a lifetime, eh.
