Kit. Katie. Kimmel.

Take care of yourselves, Brethren!

Kit.  Brothers and Sisters, I have been stricken with the COVID.  I can’t imagine why I was not protected by the armor of God from this scourge.  Upon testing myself with a kit from the drugstore, I realized that I could no longer pass it off as some Russian hoax since it has flattened me for several days.  I am grateful that I was given medicine to ward off further intensity, although the medicine just about makes me gag.  Be ye each aware when offering a special touch or word of oral testimony…..others out there may not be as pure as the rest of us!

Katie.  Being laid up forced me to view more television than is the norm for me.  I’m still amazed at the breadth of programming available to us.  First up in my sick bed viewing was the State of the Union speech from our esteemed President.  I still wince when I think that the leader of this nation is a CATHOLIC, but I continue to pray for spiritual guidance for him.  I believe he’s rather soft on issues of moral turpitude, but he expressed a true nature of preaching fire.  I shall hold true to the rock of my salvation as these United States face the future.  And I’m fully aware that no President can please everyone.  However, if God’s Own Party is going to trot out someone to offer a rebuttal, it seems that there could have been a more convincing argument than that of a simple-minded Betty Crocker in a kitchen.  Somebody must really hate Sister Britt to have put her on the spot like that.  I will lift her up in prayer as I do the people of her home state of Alabama.  Perhaps her speech was still in early gestation but couldn’t be pulled due to state laws?

Kimmel.  Of course, I wallowed in the filth of the Academy Awards telecast on Sunday.  The apex of the awards season frivolity, this statue-giving program never ceases to cause intrigue and discussion.  On a positive note, I’d like to commend Brother Jimmy Kimmel for a relatively family-friendly job of hosting the cavalcade of trash.  There weren’t TOO many distracting fashion statements, although I was terribly concerned about why that young Sister Ariana was dressed to look like a full-on bodily prolapse!  Another example of wholesomeness was that precious Bradley Cooper took his mother with him as his date.  Such a nice boy.  However, there always has to be one moment of inappropriateness and that came when Brother John Cena presented an award for costuming completely NEKKID!  That seemed a complete oxymoron.  I praise God for a rewind feature on my TV so that I could re-examine that moment in great detail.  Overall, I’m behind in some film viewing.  Apparently, I’m going to need to get bombed with some Oklahoma Indians while playing with dolls with bad eyebrows.  Hallelujah!
