We’d been anxiously awaiting the opening of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta since last year.
Located in the heart of PV’s beautiful Zona Romantica, the Tryst officially debuted in fall 2024 and we finally made it there this past March for a week of sunset happy hours from the rooftop pool, each hot guy’s bare skin glistening in the golden hues of the slowly darkening sky.
Created by entrepreneur Tristan Schukraft (owner of The Abbey in West Hollywood, as well as Mistr), it’s the chic gay hotel Vallarta has needed.
Note: A Tryst Hotel Puerto Rico location reopens with a new look this year, and a Fire Island location debuts this summer.
During our Puerto Vallarta stay, we couldn’t have had more fun interacting with the friendly staff, whether at morning breakfast, afternoon happy hour, or the crazy fun drag brunch.
To be candid, the rooms, food and beverages at The Tryst clock in higher than most gay hotels, but the quality matches the prices.
It truly is an elevated gay hotel experience.
So, if you’re ready to experience one of our favorite Pride celebrations in the world this year, make this hip hotel your home away from home during Vallarta Pride (May 17-25).
A few rooms remain and the hotel promises to be the place to see and be seen.
If you can’t make Pride and don’t mind the heat, rooms drop to their lowest rates during the summer months.
And really, that just means gorgeous men in fewer clothes, possibly dripping wet from a mid-afternoon rain shower.
