For decades, the stoner-comedy milieu has mostly belonged to the dudes, bros and bong-buds of Hollywood.
Thank Cheech and Chong if you must.
But tonight, two women toke up the mantle with the premiere of The Wrong Girls.
Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat star in the wild and trippy movie about two best girlfriends who enjoy their fair share of ganja on a daily basis.
But that’s child’s play compared to the experimental drug they discover in a briefcase and (why the hell not) decide to take for a spin.
We’re not advocating that you see this movie under the influence of something. Then again, maybe we are.
The first screenings of the day take place at an appropriate 4:20 p.m. across Dallas (except AMC NorthPark 15 that apparently didn’t get the joke). So, prepare to satisfy your munchies with a big ol’ bucket of popcorn.
And maybe a few boxes of Peanut M&Ms.
Ooh, and a pretzel.
Throw in a hot dog and nachos while you’re at it.
