Any movie that shows a room full of naked men doing yoga before the opening credits have even finished is tops in our book.
In fact, A Four Letter Word has a hard time keeping clothes on any of its cast, which is fantastic when the stars look like these guys.
A sequel to Slutty Summer, everything’s better the second time around. The production values are higher, the writing’s sharper and though flawed in bits and pieces, it’s an enjoyable comedy romp with some great one-liners and even better eye-liner. (The better to enhance the god-like facial features of dreamboat Jesse Archer, our new stalker crush.)
The best part is that it makes no difference at all if you’ve seen the first film.
This stand-alone feature isn’t mired in any deep mythology that requires you to do your homework before viewing like, say, Jaws 3-D or Teen Wolf Too. It simply peeks into the lives of some fab NYC-men in the prime of their sex lives hooking up and striving to make it in the big city.
And by “make it,” of course, we mean screw.
A Four Letter Word was a big gay hit in theaters, but now it’s on DVD, all the better to pause during the yoga scene. Or the sex scene. Or that other sex scene.
