Right this very moment, we’re witnessing a wicked three-way between Brenda Walsh, Bree Van de Camp-Hodge, and Alexis Morrell-Carrington-Colby-Dexter-Rowan. Yes, we’ve got three windows open on our computer and are simultaneously watching episodes of the original Beverly Hills: 90210, Desperate Housewives and Dynasty, each showcasing our favorite scenes with some of TV’s greatest bitches.
Our secret obsession this week: soap operas. Daytime, nighttime, old school, and last night’s hottest episode.
Thanks to the Netterweb, we can watch the shows we grew up with. You know, the ones that shaped our killer attitudes, heightened fashion sense and the incessant need to seek out catfights and abruptly end relationships with unresolved cliffhangers.
Or catch up on the series that had our moms fixated on the television every afternoon while we played with matches in the backyard and snuck peeks at the neighbor boy home from college, showering with the garden hose in his back yard, just within view through the chain-link fence separating our homes.
Okay, that last part never happened. But the matches are totally legit.
Was Melrose Place or Falcon Crest your weakness? Catch ’em on fancast.com. Want some great daytime suds action like As the World Turns or last week’s top Guiding Light moments?
Sure, there’s way more than soaps on this site, but with tons of great, free TV episodes, you have to pace yourself. Start with one genre and stick with it until your craving is fed.
Opening more than three browser windows filled with sex, murder and hysterical pregnancies is not recommended and we can’t be responsible for Acute Soap Sensory Overload (ASS-OL for short). Look it up. It’s completely a real disease.
So take it one step at a time. Tonight, Krystle and Alexis wrestle in the lily pond. Tomorrow, Kimberly blows up the entire apartment complex on Melrose. It’s enough to make us weep with joy.
