Best Foot Forward

When it comes to spa treatments, pedicures are at the top of our list just below “360-Minute Full Body Massage.” They feel great, make our feet look spectacular, and the hits go up exponentially on the foot-fetish website for which we model in our spare time.

Because we’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest, we get more than our fair share of pedicures. So we know a good one when we get it.

And the Spa Pedicure at Equinox Highland Park is one of the best we’ve ever had. Not only does it beat the hell out of one of those bunion-grinding, staph-infection sweat shops with the busted-up massage chairs and unfriendly staff members with fake American names, it comes with something no other spa can offer – free access to the Equinox health club and all its hot male eye-candy innovative equipment and classes.

Another thing that makes this pedicure special, it’s almost completely waterless. After an initial Jesus-style foot washing, the remaining treatment utilizes aromatherapy hot towels to keep your feet toasty warm and ready for pampering. No feet soaking in a lukewarm soup of toenail clippings and bits of foot corn.

Meanwhile, you’re relaxing in a zero gravity chair, perhaps with a Mimosa, a plate of delicious cheeses and a current issue of GQ. The service ends with a foot and leg scrub, as well as a relaxing foot, leg and hand massage.

Your feet will look like two additional body parts you can’t wait to put on display. It is sandal season, after all, so do it for the rest of us as much as yourself. Really, pedicures are a public service that should be funded by governmental grants.

No foot left behind.
