Tired of going to museums and thinking, “I could do that!”? Or getting yelled at by the guards for adding your own interpretation to one of Picasso’s “works in progress?” (Kilroy makes everything better.)
Well, now you can express yourself, not repress yourself – with paint!
Step into the air-conditioned (!) studios of Painting With A Twist and prepare to create a masterpiece with several of your closest friends. Sure, you can reserve a spot in a public class, but we really don’t see the fun in that. Strangers get so angry when you tickle their boobs with the business end of a paintbrush. Friends, on the other hand, often request it by name.
So we say book a private party. Groups as small as 8 or as large as 50 can reserve studio space to have a painting party. You select an image for the entire group to learn to paint step by step from a talented instructor and spend 2 or 3 hours getting in touch with your creative side.
Of course, you can also get in touch with your tipsy side, too. It’s BYOB! Bring wine and snacks and everything else is provided by Painting With A Twist, including the canvas, paint, easel, apron and, of course, brushes. (Sorry, no Jackson Pollocking here.)
If everybody in your group is a conformist, all paintings will look pretty much the same at the end. But what fun is that? We went off-script as much as possible and added our own flourishes. Just think of the fun we’d have with this one.
This is art after all. There is no right or wrong.
Just ugly.
