And then it heads to the Uptown Players ridiculously funny drag parody, The Silence of the Clams.
Like the original Lamb version, the Clam one features a butch FBI agent who turns to a serial killer for help in solving another series of grisly murders in order to save the life of a soon-to-be-murdered kidnapping victim. Except here it’s Nancy Pelosi’s daughter who’s down in the well with Beaver Bob prepping her to remove the skin from her, well, clam.
And instead of a terrifying turn from Anthony Hopkins, expect plenty of laughs at the expense of Dr. Hannibal Lichter, the evil genius who “ate” his female victims before killing them.
Men in drag, beaver skinners and plenty of clamilingus. Just another sophisticated night at the theater.
