Matchmaker, Matchmaker

Because our friends never take our advice on which people they should or shouldn’t date, even though we’re always right, we’ve had to take our good intentions elsewhere.

But strangers don’t take kindly when we tell them how incompatible they are with the person they’re mugging down with at the mall food court.

We’ve found a perfect solution to our matchmaking desires in The Singles Project, premiering tonight on Bravo.

In this new twist on reality dating shows, viewers get to know a group of successful New Yorkers, each on a quest for love. The show incorporates social media to allow meddling viewers, like us, to interact with the cast and help them make decisions ranging from choosing an outfit to which suitor they should shack up with.

Each episode will be shot and aired within the same week, making it the first real-time dating series in the U.S. Before tonight’s premiere, you can already get involved by following and tweeting @singles_project and using the official hashtag: #TheSinglesProject.

We’re most excited to help handsome Joey Healy (above) find a man. Because now that we’re up to notch 69 carved into our headboard, we’re pretty experienced at finding guys who give it up on the first date.

For Joey’s sake, however, hopefully one of the guys we find him will actually stick around for breakfast.

And not steal his laptop.
