We’re ready to get sauced this Friday. Majorly sauced.

It’s all part of the Big D BBQ Battle where find teams pitting their briskets, ribs and beans against one another for best-tasting barbecue bragging rights. It should be great weather for a little smoking and grilling and a fantastic way to kick off the weekend.

All proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank and Cafe Momentum, so prepare to be carnivorous for a cause.

There’ll be beer from Four Corners Brewing Co. and live music from Hudson Moore, too.

But with all that brisket and so many ribs, we sure hope there’s a dental floss sponsor, too.
