Rex Tilton. Memorize those nine letters.
Because we’re pretty sure you’ve already memorized every inch of him from the photo above, and it’s rude to stare without knowing someone’s name.
As First Soloist for Ballet West, he’s not just one of the hottest dancers we’ve ever come across, he’s also easily one of the most talented, an opinion we share with Alastair Macaulay of The New York Times (the talent part, at least. Not sure if he’s crushing on him like we are or not).
Next weekend, Rex and the rest of Ballet West will be at the Winspear Opera House for two nights of beautifully choreographed movement.
From Balanchine to Bournonville and Petipa to Tharp, Ballet West boasts a rich and varied repertoire and an American style and legacy that is as dynamic, expansive and unexpected as the Rocky Mountain region it represents.
Ballet West has toured the globe several times, presenting the very best in American classical ballet. A company of gifted dancers, they gained worldwide fame as the focus of the reality TV series Breaking Pointe. But they shine in any setting, regardless of whether there are cameras focused on their every move.
Our eyes, however, will be.
Friday, May 29 & Saturday, May 30, 2015 – 8 p.m.
