Based on Stephen Belber’s Tony Award-nominated play, it stars Patrick Stewart as an eccentric, flamboyant Manhattan ballet teacher with a penchant for marijuana and colorful tales.
When a couple from Seattle (Carla Gugino & Matthew Lillard) come to interview him about his career, major secrets come to life and change the mood from comic to dramatic in the blink of an eye.
What’s so great is how deftly Stewart transitions between the two.
It’s a performance that’s simply mesmerizing.
