In Catch Me If You Can, Frank Abangale, Jr. pretended to be a pilot. And a doctor. Even a lawyer.
But we’re pretty sure the real-life con man wouldn’t have ever thought of pretending to be a high school guidance counselor.
That’s way too strange for real life.
It’s perfect, however, for David Gold (Pat Mills), an unemployed former child actor diagnosed with cancer in the new film, Guidance, an official selection at several international LGBT film festivals this past year.
With the overwhelming feeling that he has nothing to lose, he fakes his résumé and lands the job.
Then he somehow manages to connect with the students, it’s amazing.
And if we dare say, he’s much cuter than Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Minds.
Yet no less inspirational.
