Count us among those fine feathered friends then because one of the best happy hours ever introduced is upon us.

It’s at the brand-new restaurant from the Proof + Pantry team: Madrina in the Shops at Highland Park. We’ve already dined there and fallen in love with the French approach to Mexican food, from the potato tamales and crispy wild mushroom appetizers to delectable, tender goat tacos and saffron-studded bouillabaisse.

We also worked our way through much of the cocktail menu, including our favorite, the Pepita Mai Tai (left). We may have sampled a good number of the 17 other French or Mexican inspired concoctions while we were in research mode.

But now you can work your way through the entire menu for half the price.

Yep, every Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., take a seat in the bar or lounge and all wines by the glass, beer and specialty cocktails will cost you half as much.

Plus, the entire food menu is 50% off, too.

What a great way to test out a new restaurant without breaking the bank. Just hurry in before they come to their senses.
