Fans of HBO’s Looking were saddened that the series that defined a new generation of gay men only lasted two seasons.
Fortunately, HBO understood the show’s appeal and ordered a movie to wrap up the storylines and bring a sense of closure, a luxury not every cancelled series gets.
Looking: The Movie follows Jonathan Groff’s Patrick as he returns to San Francisco a year after leaving to celebrate a wedding and resolve the issues he left behind. Reuniting with best friends Agustín and Dom, he discovers what’s most important in his life as everyone looks to the future.
Looking: The Movie is a beautiful love letter to fans, as well as a wonderful way to say farewell.
