Killer Sissy

carrie_15_loOur first foray into the world of telepathy was an innocent one.

After watching the 1975 Disney flick, Escape to Witch Mountain, we practiced and practiced moving things with our mind. Simple stuff like our school books. A John Denver 8-track. Or our naked G.I. Joe.

Sadly, our powers never materialized.

In hindsight, this is probably for the best because the days of junior high bullying that lay ahead would’ve probably been approached with a far more deadly form of telepathic prowess, à la Carrie.

Hard to believe, but the iconic Stephen King horror flick starring Sissy Spacek is celebrating 40 years of spine-chilling terror, just in time for Halloween, with a two-disc Blu-ray loaded with extras. (You can win a copy, too, just by entering our easy giveaway.)

The main attraction has been given a high-quality 4K scan of the film from the original negative. Plus, there are new interviews with much of the cast and crew, as well as archived interviews with Spacek and others, as well as original theatrical trailers, behind-the-scenes photos and hot naked pictures of a young John Travolta (just seeing if you’re paying attention).

We can’t wait to relive our favorite moments from the movie and introduce it to a few friends who’ve never seen the original (and best) version.

Now we’ve gotta go.

There’s a bucket of pig’s blood that isn’t going to strategically hang itself above the sofa.
