So many gay icons, so many albums yet to remaster.
Fortunately, Bette Midler’s iconic debut album, The Divine Miss M, has gotten the super-deluxe, super-amazing 2-CD treatment filled with unreleased recordings, rare versions and plenty of extras for die-hard fans and those new to the singer’s oeuvre.
It may be too old-school for some, but she was a pioneer of outrageousness to whom many of today’s biggest female superstars owe a debt of gratitude.
We can prove her greatness, too, because we have a copy of the deluxe set to give away and take a listen for yourself.
Be warned, though.
You might have the strange urge to put on a mermaid costume and seek out Dolly Parton.
