Even though many of us put up our Christmas tree the moment the leftover turkey was in a Tupperware container, we always love kicking off the season with something more dramatic than what we can achieve with a two-decade-old Trans Siberian Orchestra CD and a few hundred twinkles lights.
That’s why you’ll find us at Light Up Lee Park tonight.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., mix and mingle with hot chocolate in your tummy and holiday music in your ears.
The official lighting takes place at 7:15 when Arlington Hall and the Great Lawn of Lee Park burst into holiday mode with the flip of a switch and a gazillion twinkle lights dance in the night sky.
That alone guarantees to put us in the holiday spirit.
Then we’ll head a few blocks away to the Round-Up and JR’s for a few drinks to make sure the feeling sticks.
