They Did It Their Way

The world is full of stories.

Our favorite is still the one about the lovely lady bringing up three very lovely girls who then shacks up with a gay dude and his three sons.

But as we’ve grown older, we’re getting accustomed to tales that don’t require built-in laugh tracks.

That’s why we love The Dallas Way: A GLBT History Project and its free monthly Outrageous Oral storytelling series, which wonderfully fulfills the organization’s mission to “gather, organize, store, and present the complete GLBT history of Dallas, Texas.”

This Thursday, the group presents its 24th (!) volume with stories from Tom H. from the Lambda Group of Alcoholics Anonymous, plus Cathi Scalise, Worth Ross, Anne Fay, Alan Levi, & Jaime Duggan from the Dallas Ft. Worth Federal Club.

Each has a unique perspective on our community.

And just like any episode of The Brady Bunch, we can all learn a valuable lesson at the end.
