That’s a man who knows he’s about to drink mimosas, snack on doughnuts and devour a breakfast pizza–after a quick shower, of course. (Most people don’t want someone sweating on their sausage.)
Just last week, Vital Fitness Studio debuted Bike & Brunch, a new program that starts with a 45-minute spinning class in the underground cycling studio before moving upstairs for brunch at Americano inside The Joule.
All for a budget-friendly $40.
The class itself doesn’t start until 11:15 a.m. (thank the lard) and features a high-energy music mix that will definitely get your heart pumping and those calories aflame. After the cooldown and stretching exercises (still trying to get our legs over our heads while standing), head to the well-appointed men’s locker room for a shower featuring bath products from The Spa at The Joule and every grooming amenity you could ever need.
Then meet the rest of the class at Americano for a family-style brunch featuring carafes of mimosas and gooey, Nutella-filled doughnuts for the table. Then select your choice of entrée from a trio of temptations that includes the sausage-egg-and-potato breakfast pizza (pictured), a traditional breakfast platter or an egg-white frittata loaded with vegetables (you know, in case you want to be healthy after all that exercise).
We had a blast this past Saturday and enjoyed meeting a lot of new people who work at the studio, as well as fellow stationary biking athletes. We can hardly wait for the April 15 class (which will sell out, so book now).
It’s the first time we’ve had tit sweats at brunch that weren’t from too many spicy Bloody Marys.
Now that’s progress.
