“Is Easter in Lee Park happening this year?”
We get asked that question a lot. And strangely, it’s usually while sitting in the steam room, refilling our Sriracha jug at Sam’s Club or in line at the Coinstar before a Friday night out.
We guess it’s because the event has been on-again/off-again for a few years with different locations, rules and regulations. Plus, some people are simply too lazy to Google.
Well, if you haven’t already heard the good news, praise be because Easter in Lee Park is indeed back again and still presented by Lee Park and Arlington Hall Conservancy.
Pack a picnic, put on your best bonnet and kick back for live music from The Gypsy Playboys and DJ Jen Miller, as well as snacks from Easy Slider and Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe food trucks.
The Pooch Parade kicks off at 2:00 p.m. and you can sign your pup up to participate by clicking here today with your $10 entry fee. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Group, Most Creative and Best Easter-Inspired Outfit. Best of all, local rescue groups will have dogs available for adoption, so you can pick out a viable contestant for next year!
The whole springtime soirée will be emceed by Real Housewife of Dallas’ LeeAnne Locken and He Said Magazine‘s Lifestyle Guru Steve Kemble.
Entry is free and open to people of all ages. Of course, it’s requested that all dogs be on non-retractable leashes and well-behaved.
Come to think of it, same for kids.
