Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

All The Whos In Doctor Whoville

Sci-fi fans, you’re going to want to time travel to a few hours in the future.

That’s when the highly anticipated Doctor Who spin-off, CLASS, debuts.

Admittedly, we’ve never seen a single episode of any incarnation of Doctor Who, but we know there are huge LGBT fans out there. And if that describes you, there’s an extra treat in this new series in the form of a gay relationship between Charlie Smith (played by Greg Austin, seated above) and another male character named Matteusz (played by Jordan Renzo). Plus, it’s crucial to the storyline.

You get a quick glimpse of a kiss between the two young men in the trailer:

We’ve published the full description of the series at the end of this story because there’s really no point in us trying to decipher how this new show relates to (and stands apart from) Doctor Who, lest we risk potentially screwing something up. The rabid fans will definitely let us know.

And we have no interest in getting a rabies shot anytime soon.

CLASS

About CLASS: From award-winning writer and Class creator Patrick Ness (novel and film A Monster Calls, novel Chaos Walking) and executive produced by the team behind Doctor Who, Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin, Class is set in London’s Coal Hill School, where four students who have hidden secrets and desires navigate a life of friends, parents, schoolwork, sex, sorrow-and possibly the end of existence. Coal Hill School has been a part of the Doctor Who universe since the very beginning, but that has come at a price. Time traveling over the years has caused the very walls of space and time to become thin. There’s something pressing in on the other side, something waiting for its chance to kill everyone and everything, to bring us all into Shadow.
