Few things give us more joy than the scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds when all the school children are attacked.

And though we’re not too sure how many kids will be attacked by winged creatures in the Theatre Too production opening tomorrow, we know we can’t wait to see this always-innovative theater company’s version of the classic horror tale.

Conor McPherson’s thrilling play “The Birds” (adapted from a story by Daphne du Maurier and the inspiration for the classic film) takes a fine feathered look at a world swirling in chaos while two strangers are trapped in an isolated house with no electricity or food.

If they live long enough to escape, they may be pecked to death.

Kind of like The Walking Dead, except the zombies can fly.
