Simply Divine

Long before RuPaul, there was another drag queen that hit it mainstream big.

Or actually on the outer-outer-outer fringe of the mainstream.

But big nonetheless.

Her name was Divine and she was John Waters’ muse, appearing in many of his most notable–and notorious–films. Tonight, Giant Entertainment presents Divine, Live at the Boom Boom Room! at the Margo Jones Theatre in Fair Park.

Set in 1982, the play presents a fictitious account of Divine performing at a gay disco called the Boom Boom Room and her encounter with two adoring fans. The action unfolds all around the audience for a transportive experience that will whisk you back to the insane party universe where the wilder the better.

Get your tickets now and prepare for a live theater experience much like Divine herself.

Truly larger than life.
