Our inner theater nerd has been awakened.
We often have nightmares in which we’re expected to appear onstage in a starring role without the slightest clue what our lines are.
What happens in Opening Night is far worse.
The ensemble film is a wickedly funny musical comedy starring Topher Grace (where have you been, oh Handsome One?), Anne Heche, Taye Diggs and NSYNC’s JC Chasez playing NSYNC’s JC Chasez (above). It’s a behind-the-scenes look at a disastrous opening night on Broadway and one producer’s attempt to make sure the show goes on.
Or as the official tagline states, The Show Goes the Fuck on.
Featuring songs ranging from “Rock Me Amadeus” to “Living La Vida Loca,” you’ll be tempted to sing along with the movie, which in this one instance is totally fine. because it’s on DVD and hopefully you’ll be watching it at home.
