As much as we love new releases, we always enjoy making time for a few greatest hits.
Once we switched from our Brunch of the Month feature to a Brunch of the Week recommendation, we’ve been able to focus on restaurants that have been doing brunch for years instead of simply highlighting the latest openings.
Case in point: Le Bilboquet.
We’d never tried it before but finally remedied that negligence a few weekends ago. Suffice to say, the Knox/Henderson area restaurant is now in our regular restaurant rotation.
That’s because they’ve mastered the art of brunch with a delightful French twist. Ooh la la.
Brunch cocktails (mimosas, bellinis and aperol spritzes) clock in at just $5 apiece, or snag a full bottle of prosecco for only 20 bucks. That’s a good place to start.

Then work your way through a long list of chart-topping dishes: lox and bagels, crème brûlée dipped brioche French toast, lobster rolls and their famous Cajun chicken and eggs Benedict. Other egg dishes wow, too, even chorizo-spiked southwestern eggs that couldn’t be farther from France in concept or actual geography.
The restaurant lures in a lively, fun, attractive crowd of both young and old, so it’s hard to not linger for hours.
Luckily, sister restaurant Up On Knox is just down the street, making for a nice change of scenery. Because any good brunch ends with even more food and cocktails at a second location.
As long as you’re home before sundown, it’s considered classy.
