Put Some Gay In Your Day, Dallas!

It’s George’s World—But You Can Visit

Remember when social media was fun?

We do.

Then again, we also remember having to hook our computer up to a land-line phone to get on AOL.

Well, a new celebrity platform has launched. Called TraceMe, the free app connects fans with celebs in the world of entertainment and sports. It’s all about positive interactions with like-minded people, so trolling won’t get you anywhere in this universe.

Gay activist, social media guru and all-around fun guy George Takei is among the first to create a presence (along with Ciara and a couple athletes we have no clue about).

The app is still in beta mode, so there’s not a ton of content yet, but we can totally see the potential. Especially when it comes to George’s realm, where you’ll find Star Trek trivia, photo caption challenges and meme-y messages from fans. Eventually, he’ll have content related to his Trump opposition, unseen footage from productions in which he’s appeared, commentary on current affairs and pop culture, as well as behind-the-scenes access to his personal and professional lives.

Because we’re early adopters, we enjoy seeing something start small and get really big.

Come to think of it, there are other things we like that also fit that description.
