Back in early November, we alerted you to the fact that the Turtle Creek Chorale holiday concerts were coming quickly.
We realize that many of you weren’t yet ready to hear about holiday stuff, so consider this your final reminder to snag some of the fantastic seats that still remain for the shows.
We know you may have gotten a taste of the Turtles this summer with their Christmas-in-June Holidays Interrupted show (pictured above). Fab, fun and funny as that was, there’s something even better about hearing carols while bundled in sweaters instead of sweating in Speedos. (Are we the only ones who wore that to Fair Park?)
For four performances this weekend, December 17-19, the beloved men’s chorus presents Sure Stars Shining at Moody Performance Hall.
Expect traditional songs (Ave Maria makes our ears bleed, so hopefully that didn’t make the setlist), as well as more loosey-Christmas-goosey renditions.
As Santa always says, “Procrastinators deserve coal and extra fruitcake.”
But this year, waiting didn’t ruin your chances to attend one of the best holiday concerts in the city with great views of the stage to boot.
Time to ditch the manger in favor of a chorale!
