We can’t wait for the next production from Uptown Players.
Originally three plays when it debuted in 1983, Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song Trilogy was revived off-Broadway in 2018 (then off to Broadway in 2019) as Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song. Now a two-act play, Uptown Players brings the story of Jewish drag queen Arnold Beckoff to Dallas for only seven performances.
Because sometimes less is more.
(Even in the case of one of the most iconic LGBTQ works of fiction ever written.)
Tickets are now on sale for the April 8-17 run at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. The show stars Phillip Cole White (pictured above) and is directed by Cheryl Denson.
Torch Song already received rave reviews during its revival.
But in the hands of Uptown Players, we expect bigger raves than a weekend night in Ibiza.
