Winner, Winner, Chicken & Sinners

One of the things we miss most about our ignorance-is-bliss Chick-fil-A obsession days? Their delectable, gay-hating chicken biscuits each morning for breakfast.

Though we’ve never found a version quite as tasty, we’re more than ready for the spicy drama and salty comedy of Chicken and Biscuits by Douglas Lyons.

Uptown Players presents the regional premiere of the irresistible production highlighting the power of love and family as told through the African American experience.

Directed by Akin Babatunde with brilliant scenic design by Donna Marquet, the play features a cast including Joelle Eon as Latrice, Kathy-Ann Hart as Beverly, Natalie King as Baneatta, Meami Maszewski as Simone, Blake McNamara as Logan, Michael Page as Reginald, Rodney Richardson as Kenny and Crystal Williams as Brianna.

Tickets are now on sale for the July 28-August 13 run at Kalita Humphreys Theater, so hurry to the virtual box office to snag the best seats while you can.

And if you find a delicious chicken biscuit somewhere in Dallas that doesn’t fund anti-gay groups, please let us know.

Our mouth is watering already.
