Do you remember Texas hero Wendy Davis, who filibustered for hours to preserve a woman’s right to choose?
Here’s a little refresher:
We’ve been impressed with her ever since and this weekend, she’ll be joining the LGBTQ fight for equality at an appearance at the Rose Room at S4.
Presented by Planned Parenthood Texas Votes and the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas, the After Dark Drag Show & Fundraiser aims to get the message out to vote (and register to vote).
Because as you know, a lot is at stake for both women’s rights and queer rights in the upcoming elections and the presidential race in 2024 promises to be the shittiest of shit shows yet.
In addition to the appearance by special guest, Wendy Davis, drag queens Kelexis Davenport, Layla Larue, Sasha Andrews, Krystal Summers, and Jenna Skyy will perform to get everyone excited about the fight for democracy.
