And because we’ve made it a goal this year to put ourselves out there and try new things, we thought you might like to join us for the ride.
We’ve pretty much run out of new sex positions at this point, so perhaps dancing would be a logical alternative for calorie-burning activities.
Everyone in the local Dallas LGBTQ community should know by now that the Round-Up Saloon & Dance Hall offers free dance lessons several times a week, but let this be a friendly, Southern hospitality-filled reminder.
Beginner, intermediate and advanced line dancers are welcome to peruse the January calendar, which features nine more opportunities to strap on your boots and hit the dance floor this month alone.
If that sounds like fun to you, it’s time to come out and brush up.
It’s also fun to be a bystander during these advanced classes because everyone’s so dang talented in the way they twirl around the dance floor. We twirl around many dance floors but in a more flamboyantly gay, queen-forward freestyle sort of way.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are the days to mark off on your social agenda with two-steps, boot-scootin’ boogies, freestyles and picnic polkas among the dances you’ll learn.
As a final reminder, these classes are always free and fun as heck.
