Be honest, is there a holiday scarier than Valentine’s Day?
At least if you want to grab a decent meal at a restaurant without people groping each other at the table while exchanging chocolate-covered strawberries from Kroger.
Well, now that all that manufactured romance nonsense has come and gone, we can prepare for Halloween.
No, not actual Halloween, but May May Graves‘s monthly Halloween Party: QWEIRD at The Nines in Deep Ellum.
This month’s terrifying theme, QWEIRD: ‘Til Death, pays homage to both V-Day and H-ween. It’s actually a rescheduled date because the regularly scheduled show would’ve fallen on actual Valentine’s Day.
We finally (FINALLY!) had the chance to see May May Graves live last month when Peaches Christ was her special guest and we loved the show so much that we had to spread our legs the word.
The Bloody Valentine party will feature a variety of dancers, drag performers and an anti-Valentine’s Day afterparty with May May putting on her DJ hat to fulfill all your requests. Sip on signature QWEIRD cocktails all night, too.
So be there or don’t be scared.
