Yesterday’s total eclipse turned out even more spectacular than we ever dreamed.
The only thing we can think of that would even come close to a feeling of pure awe and joy we experienced would be a gathering of a bunch of gays in wine country.
If you haven’t already booked your tickets to Out in the Vineyard‘s annual Gay Wine Weekend in Sonoma County, now’s the time. This year’s events occur between July 19 to 21 and there’s way more to do than simply drinking wine (though we imagine that will take up a bulk of most people’s itineraries).
There will also be culinary experiences galore, music and dancing in a private estate vineyard, a drag brunch, and a pool party just to name a few of the worthwhile distractions from everyday life. And it’s worth noting that Visit Dallas sponsors this event, so yay Dallas!
The official host hotel, Vintners Resort, still has a few rooms left, but you better book quickly if you want to be in the center of the action.
VIP Party Passes can be purchased for $550 and include access to all parties and events throughout the weekend. Upgrade to the VIP Magnum Pass for everything in the party pass, plus first choice of winemaker dinners and a winery tour, for $1050.
Individual event tickets are now on sale so set an alert if you prefer to pick and choose the events you’ll attend.
Proceeds from the festivities benefit LGBTQ organizations, so like so many things we feature here, your indulgences can do a lot of good for others.
