Get Ready for ‘Simulation’: Black Tie Dinner’s 43rd Annual Event Theme and Entertainment Unveiled

Black Tie Dinner has announced the theme for this year’s gala: ‘Simulation.’ Promising a night where the ballroom transforms into a realm of limitless possibilities, this 43rd annual event at the Sheraton Dallas is set to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community like never before.

“We will immerse ourselves in ‘Simulation’ – envisioning a world where the LGBTQ+ community is not attacked or merely tolerated, but celebrated and uplifted,” shared Black Tie Dinner Senior Co-Chair Dustin Vyers.

The excitement kicked off at the Dessert B4 Dinner event, where indie pop duo Fly By Midnight was announced as part of the entertainment lineup. Fresh from their fourth album and currently on “The Thrill” US tour, they’re set to bring electrifying energy to the night.

Tables for this event are now available, starting at $5,000. To secure your spot and become a Table Host, visit blacktie.org/tables.

The Black Tie Dinner also announced its first award recipients. Han Seth Lu received the 2024 Richard Weaver Volunteer Award for his inspiring commitment and support. Landon Richie was named the 2024 Trailblazer Award recipient, honoring his advocacy work with the Transgender Education Network of Texas.

Black Tie Dinner Junior Co-Chair Liliana Villarreal praised Richie: “The Trailblazer Award is a symbol of gratitude for those who dare to challenge the status quo. Landon is a true trailblazer, and we are honored to recognize him.”

Since 1982, Black Tie Dinner has grown into the largest fundraising dinner for the LGBTQ+ community in the nation, distributing over $30 million to supportive organizations.
