When Southern hospitality and queer inclusivity intersect, you know your juicy peach has found its way to Atlanta, Georgia.
One month from now, the cosmopolitan city hosts Atlanta Pride. Marching from the bars, restaurants and other businesses and into the streets from October 11-13, for three days of LGBTQ+ celebrations and equality initiatives.
Headliners for the festival in Piedmont Park on Saturday include Ava Max, Monét X Change, Cakes Da Killa and Mila Jam.
Upgrade to Premium Passes for the Saturday and Sunday events starting at $89 for one day or $149 for both days and you’ll get plenty of worthwhile perks. Among them, a dedicated Premium Lounge with covered seating, deluxe bathroom trailers, private bars, snacks, phone charging stations, video monitors of the stage performances, exclusive meet-and-greets with the main stage entertainers and two complimentary drink tickets per day.
Add on the official Atlanta Pride Official Kickoff at the gorgeous Georgia Aquarium on Friday, October 11 for $56. That’ll also get you two free drink tickets, plus performances by Kitty Glitter from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, as well as the uber-handsome Perry Twins and Wild Cherry on the turntables.
Book a stay at a participating Marriott hotel for the weekend (make sure to enter the Pride weekend dates to see available hotels). Last time we were in Atlanta, we stayed at the W Atlanta – Downtown and it was fabulous. Rates for the weekend there start at $215 per night. Other Marriott hotels offering special Atlanta Pride rates start at only $139 and go up to $449 for the Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, so splurge or go for a bargain. The choice is yours!
