It’s all a little one-note this week.
Contact. I am just horrified over the prevalence of criminal gun use. Between street crime, horrific school shootings and assassination attempts, guns have been in the news far too much lately. I have no solution to offer, except in the case of presidential safety. If I were a current candidate for the Repugnican ticket, I would insist that my security detail find better ways to protect me. And when protection gets difficult due to the candidate’s penchant for last-minute golf games or changes in itinerary, the Secret Service needs to be in better immediate contact with said candidate. For this reason, I am praying that the candidate be given a pager in order to be found at a moment’s notice. Dated equipment to be sure, but they seem to be making a resurgence abroad. Effective AND fun, making each outing a blast!
Cats. And speaking of that candidate, his recent outrageous claims regarding Haitian refugees in Ohio have caused almost irreparable harm. The precious people of Springfield, Ohio, are suffering the hatred and consequences of such a careless accusation. It has been proven that these immigrants are in NO WAY feasting on Springfield’s beloved pets. Or as candidate said, “They’re eating the dogs . . . they’re eating the cats.” Ridiculous. Perhaps candidate, who was famously quoted as being able to grab cats freely in the past, is merely fantasizing about the opportunity to eat them himself. So to speak.
Cabins. Might as well keep this week’s news in the family, per se. Sister Melania Trump, erstwhile FLOTUS and wife of current Repugnican candidate, has made news this week for financial reasons. It seems that she has been making money off of campaign speaking engagements and then not reporting that income as required by law. While she is VERY particular about when and where she speaks, she seems to favor one particular political organization. The Log Cabin Repugnicans have proudly hosted Sister MT annually over the past three years for various events. For clarification, this syrupy organization is comprised of sodomites in support of the GOP. I’m not going to begin to understand the goals of this group of sinners, but I will surmise that the Sister Melania enjoys the company of her boys. Especially is she can make a dollar while doing so. Let us reflect on the fact that many neglected wives have found solace in the company of the gays. And Melania certainly is familiar with being paid for who she is. Amen?
