It’s February.
And the first Thursday of the month will be here tomorrow.
That can mean only one thing: Time to head to Cedar Springs Road again for some drinky-drinks!
The Cedar Springs Merchant Association (CSMA) presents the February Wine Walk tomorrow from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Pay your $10 at the tent outside the Round-Up Saloon and receive a CSMA branded wine glass.
Then work your way through most of the businesses around the Crossroads area. Show up right from work or the gym, or head home first and throw on a little red number, a pink wig and perhaps some Cupid wings, a bow and a quiver of arrows.
(It’s almost Valentine’s Day, you know, for those who celebrate.)
It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which means you could find love on the streets after a little vino.
You’ll get a pour at each venue (and special Wine Walk discounts on specific items at each business).
Plan now to skip wine at a few places along the route if you don’t want a really rough Friday morning—or make sure you take Uber, Lyft or Alto to the neighborhood and deal with the hangover when you have to.
The event climaxes with a raffle drawing for a gift basket filled with goodies from participating merchants, so you could really walk away with some delightful prizes.
As always, proceeds from the fun-filled event go toward the beautification of the neighborhood.
Just imagine if every drink we had on the strip helped with that cause. Our bar tab alone would probably mean diamond-encrusted crosswalks, swans swimming in ponds on every corner and laser light extravaganzas every half hour after sunset.
