Queer cruises: You’re guaranteed to meet plenty of other LGBTQ people.
Other cruises: Best of luck.
Well, now, there’s a wonderful new way to connect with your tribe on the high seas.
We’re actually using it Right. This. Very. Minute.
We’re onboard Royal Caribbean‘s Brilliance of the Seas for VACAYA‘s 7-night cruise of the Western Caribbean. Not only are we VACAYA virgins, we just popped our MeetMeOnBoard (MMOB) cherry, as well.
We found out about the MMOB app because of a new collaboration between the app and the VACAYA queer travel community.
The app allows you to connect with other queer people before and during your cruise, and even book future vacations right through the digital interface.

It’s easy to use, though we wish profile photos appeared larger.
But we expect it will really come in handy on our next non-gay cruise this April. Those are the ones where meeting other LGBTQ people can be a real challenge.
Our favorite feature, however, is the comprehensive list of upcoming LGBTQ cruises from companies including Atlantis Events, Two Bad Tourists, Aquafest, Brand g Vacations, Daddy Cruise, Big Gay Cruise, Bear Voyages, and MeetMeOnBoard’s own cruises.
You can find upcoming cruises to connect with people on every major cruise line out there, including several we’ve never even heard of before.

Best of all, there’s a link to a queer cruise planner named Daniel Wulfkuhle who can make everything easier when it’s time to book your next vacation.
So, next time you’re headed onboard a ship for a little R&R, make sure to seek out our other favorite letters of the alphabet: LGBTQ people.
Maybe even a little S&M if the vibe’s right.
