Let us lift up these prayer concerns.
Folly. As you can imagine, I have very strong feelings about the power of women like me in making a difference in this world. My mission work has touched countless lives, and my knees are FLAT from prayer and supplication on behalf of sinners. Therefore, when I see other women doing important things, I take note. Recently, a group of six people were shot into space via Brother Jeff Bezos’ private space company, Blue Origin. While this was not a scientific or research trip, it was notable for its passengers. All women. Not women astronauts. Celebrities. Who all HAPPEN to be friends with Brother Bezos’ girlfriend. While two women aboard did have ties to NASA, the other four were included for their social media prowess and ability to spread the word of women working in the aerospace field. I’m sure this was a gravity-defying thrill since most of us women would love the chance to feel much lighter. But it certainly doesn’t compare to the importance of women before them who rightly earned their place in space via scientific work. Consequently, these women’s testimonies of the importance of their BRIEF trip into the heavens seemed a bit self-indulgent. Let me just say this…..this folly certainly provided each of these women with their TEN MINUTES of fame as Brother Warhol had predicted. But more importantly, I advise these women that improving their spiritual life will be far more successful in getting them closer to God in Heaven!
Fire. Air travel is getting to be more and more concerning in so many ways. Unruly passengers, in-flight mechanical troubles and runway issues (both coming and going). The latest is a Delta Airlines flight barreling down an Orlando runway for takeoff with an engine in full conflagration. Listen, if I had looked out my window and seen those flames, I would have been grateful for my salvation since the end was a-comin’! By God’s grace and some alert pilots, the takeoff was aborted (a GOOD use of the word), and passengers got free slide privileges onto the tarmac playground. God bless these people and those who saved them. But if you ask me, this only reinforces my long-held belief that DELTA stands for Doesn’t Even Leave The Airport!
Francis. We’ve lost another Catholic. Brother Pope Francis has passed away after a 12-year run as head of the Catholic Church. I usually don’t pay any mind to Catholic affairs, but BPF was an exceptional man. Not only was he the first Mexican-speaking Pope from Argentina in history, but he was also far more liberal than those before him. Frank shifted the Catholics in a more liberal direction with his various decrees supporting women and the sodomite people both. Have I mentioned LIBERAL? But I have to say, I’ve always been one to reach out to the lesser of humanity, so I applaud his efforts. I was amazed at his recovery from a month-long stay in the hospital, so his quick passing concerned me. It is my belief that the visit he received a day or so before his death from Brother JD Vance was his demise. I’ve seen the photos. One can almost hear BPF saying, “Lord, no. Come get me outta here!”
