Where To Eat This Weekend: Catch Dallas

Now that restaurants are back to normal after all those overcrowded Easter brunches last weekend, we’re ready to dine out again.

We’re pretty sure you are, too.

We launched our new dining out series, Where to Eat This Weekend, a couple of weeks ago to make it easier to find a new (or old) favorite for brunch, dinner, drinks or just because.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the chance to enjoy both dinner and Sunday brunch at Catch Dallas, a New York seafood restaurant that made its local debut last November.

Both meals delighted and provided completely different experiences.

During dinner, we settled into a cozy booth in the chic, dimly lit dining room for a feast of rainbow sashimi pizza, crispy shrimp, several sushi rolls and Wagyu fried rice with lobster.

The experience was sophisticated and a wonderful way to spend the evening with our husband. Around the room, we saw extended families, couples and friend groups enjoying each other’s company while a parade of food and cocktails floated by each table on servers’ trays.

And then there’s brunch.

Located upstairs on the beautiful rooftop patio, brunch at Catch Dallas is a complete vibe—and a total bargain. For $75, you’ll be treated to one of the most lavish brunches we’ve experienced in the city in recent years.

The brunch menu features an impressive raw bar with oysters, crab claws, shrimp and a variety of sushi and sashimi options. Multiple hot stations offer everything from made-to-order omelets and chilaquiles to robata grilled shrimp, steak and salmon skewers and mounds of chicken and waffles.

Every so often, the caviar cart rolls around, too, so never let it pass you by.

Add on mimosa bottle service and individual cocktails to fuel the fun, or ensure a happier Monday morning a robust list of zero-proof beverage options.

We can’t wait to return to Catch Dallas to try more items off the dinner menu next time we have a special occasion to celebrate, but brunch will most certainly be in regular rotation.

Much like the wheels on that caviar trolley.
