We owe a lot—if not everything—to our LGBTQ elders.
Without their sacrifices and bravery, we wouldn’t have the equal(ish) rights we enjoy today.
So, first things first, mark your calendars for LGBTQ Elders Day on May 16.
Then, buy tickets to Beginners, this month’s CinéWilde at the Texas Theatre presentation.
The 2010 film stars Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer as his dad, who comes out of the closet at 75.
It’s a funny and touching movie that’s even better in a crowded theater. So join CinéWilde for their always insightful programming at each screening, including an informative Q&A.
Then head out and find an LGBTQ elder to give a big hug to.
Or a nice, sloppy thank-you kiss.
