We knew it couldn’t last forever.
But we had a pretty good run of hot-but-not-too-hot days this summer.
The past few days, however, that’s a whole other story. We want to get the hell out of this hell.
So, we’re looking north for a queer place to escape as we hit our first long stretch of 100-plus days next week. As luck would have it, super-gay Vancouver will be hosting its annual Pride next weekend with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the 50s.
HEAVEN.
Plus, as you’ll see in this CBC story, the shortened parade route means more time to explore the city and all the other factivities in store for Vancouver Pride.
Check out misterb&b’s list of LGBTQ-friendly and welcoming hotels, as well as vacation rental options for great places to stay.
This year’s events include drag performances, dance parties, pool soirées, the big parade and two separate Pride festivals after the parade.
Plus, you’ll be able to escape to the mountains or ocean for some refreshing breezes and breathtaking Canadian scenery.
(In addition to the breathtaking Canadians at the bars, bistros, bathhouses and beaches.)
